Project Outline
The QUT Retail initiative, “$4 Breakfast,” aims to subsidise the cost of select breakfast items at campus retailers for students who may be skipping out on breakfast before their classes.
The existing visual identity was requested to align more closely with the “Food Trucks on Campus” style, which is characterised by its distinct visuals that are student focused.
Concept Development
As the existing visual identity for the campaign included food imagery (that wasn't necessarily on offer to students), an important aspect of the new look and feel was to not have any food.
Getting the $4 Breakfast mark was the most difficult and time-consuming part. Multiple iterations and outside feedback was needed to nail the look and legibility - a real trial and error process.
