Project OUtline
The New Semester wall program came about from the need to start showing more tailored content that aligns with student lifecycle messaging at QUT.
Shown during the start of semester, the wall program encourages students to think about their past studies and how they're going to make this semester their best – offering some helpful tips and tricks.
Gardens Point Library Wall
This was the first program to begin a more frequent use of okHiQ, a digital submission platform where students can respond to a question or brief with text, photo or drawing.
Using a QR code, students were prompted on the wall to submit their "ins" for the semester and our team would put their submission on the wall for others to see.

The wall is split up into different “ins” a student could commit themselves to at the start of the semester, such as finding a partner to study with, getting organised with to-do lists, and getting up and moving around more while studying.

Sketches and Initial Animation Tests
The development of the wall program initially involved the use of the Kinect cameras for user interaction of different segments on the wall. Unfortunately time, hardware, and software constraints prevented implementation of those aspects.
